{"id":5224,"date":"2016-01-28T10:15:27","date_gmt":"2016-01-28T15:15:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/?page_id=5224"},"modified":"2019-10-09T16:17:50","modified_gmt":"2019-10-09T20:17:50","slug":"1000-stories-campaign","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-stories-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"About the Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 1,000 women business owners have shared their stories with us\u2014and showed the world the richness of female entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"btn\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/za2Xd7p4xrGi56Ba9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tell us your story!<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"iframewrap\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4e1H3cnMkDQ\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Story Exchange invites women entrepreneurs from around the world to submit their stories and see them published on our site.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/za2Xd7p4xrGi56Ba9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Share your story now!<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our nonprofit media project has been collecting the stories of women business owners since in 2012, when we launched the \u201c1,000 Stories\u201d project in partnership with <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.babson.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Babson College<\/a>\u00a0in an effort to\u00a0better understand the needs of women entrepreneurs and give them more media exposure<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. We issued a global call to women with businesses, social enterprises, and nonprofits to share their experiences with us through a <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/za2Xd7p4xrGi56Ba9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">questionnaire<\/a>, and have those experiences documented and shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In November 2015, we reached our goal of collecting 1,000 stories. Women from 50 countries and all sorts of industries crisscrossing the global economy have told us why they started companies or organizations &#8212; and what they hoped to achieve. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each woman\u2019s submission was published on our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/category\/yse\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">site<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a profile page. And w<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e tap these stories regularly for women to profile in <a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/entrepreneur-stories\/\">articles,<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/category\/entrepreneur-videos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">videos<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and our <a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/podcast\/\">podcast<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also analyzed the entries as a group when we reached the 1,000-stories mark and published a package of articles detailing our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-stories-women-business\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">findings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The result is a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-own-words\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">uniquely deep look<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at why women <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-why-start\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">start<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> companies, how they view <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-success\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">success<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, their top <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-challenges\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">challenges<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and their most inspiring <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thestoryexchange.org\/1000-role-models\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">role models<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
